"Horowitz No. 8000-1"

Known in the trade as: "Dimitri".

Calibre: 7 mm.

Special features: varnished matt black with red cap.

Handling: zippy, if a bit too light. Surface structure designed to ensure firmest grip possible.

Taste: extremely lively, almost impetuous. However, fuller body guaranteed when stored at a temperature of 12.2°C. Great potential.

Signature: expressive and idiosyncratic, if a little too self-confident. If applied with vigour, produces powerful, vibrant tones of orange, especially on jingles.

Precision: for the most part, satisfactory. Weakness when sharpening due in large part to the use of spruce wood from forests seriously affected by acid rain.

Most suitable for: the whole gamut of jobs from A-Z. Some weakness experienced when correcting misplaced commas and decimal points. However, this proves to be something of a plus point when encountering examples of "creative accounting" in annual reports.
